We have experience of installing flooring in a number of different types of Walker homes without any issues. The build quality of Walker homes is something they are justifiably proud of – and we have seen this for ourselves. The lofts in Walker homes show very consistent spacing of their roof trusses and the laying of insulation to the right thickness.
Standard Loft Sizes
We have created standard prices for the following Walker homes based on our experience and floor plans available from Walker. Besides these packages, you can also choose a custom-sized area to perfectly suit your own requirements for storage space and budget.
Culdearn 5-bed

The Culdearn is a substantial five-bedroom home with three large public rooms, a kitchen/diner, generous en-suite master bedroom and an integral double garage.
As one of the longest Walkers homes available, the Culdearn can accommodate a floored area of 11.4m x 1.8m (20.5m2) in the open space between truss members. Extending into the eaves gives a maximum possible floored area of 11.4m x 6.0m (68.4m2).
The Culdearn can be seen at the Walker Homes Hopefield Park development, Bonnyrigg.
Roxburgh 5-bed

The Roxburgh features a lounge, separate family room/study, a kitchen with dining area and two impressive en-suite bathrooms making it a really grand five-bedroom home suitable for a large family.
Like the Culdearn, the long Roxburgh can accommodate a floored area of 11.4m x 1.8m (20.5m2) in the open space between truss members. Extending into the eaves gives a maximum possible floored area of 11.4m x 6.0m (68.4m2).

Oakleigh 5-bed

This 5-bedroom home is ideal for larger families or those needing an extra room for guests thanks to its large open-plan layout and Jack & Jill en-suite. The drawback with an integrated garage is that there is only one roof space to floor instead of two with houses which have a separate garage.
As one of the largest homes, the Oakleigh can accommodate a huge 10.2m x 1.8m (18.3m2) loft floor in the open space between truss verticals. Additional space can be floored by extending into the eaves and cutting boards around the truss members, to a maximum size of approx 10.2 x 6.0m (61.2m2).
Landsborough 4-bed

The Landsborough is a four-bedroom home ideal for families needing some additional space. It has a generous layout, more storage than you might expect and good sized bedrooms.
The Landsborough can accommodate a floored area of 7.2m x 1.8m (13m2). Extending into the eaves by going around the truss members is possible up to a maximum area of 7.2m x 6.0m (43.2m2).

Gladstone 4-bed

This Gladstone is an elegant four-bedroom home with integrated double garage and a stunning open-plan kitchen, dining area and family room. It is ideal for large family gatherings.
The split roof design of the Gladstone means that a loft boarding platform in open space of 6.0m x 1.8m (10.8m2) is possible – though a wider area can be floored by cutting boards around the vertical truss members towards the eaves, up to 6.0m x 6.0m (36m2).
Canterbury 4-bed

With a large kitchen and an open-plan family room with French doors to the back garden, the Canterbury is a large four-bedroom family home.
The Canterbury can accommodate a floored area of 7.2m x 1.8m (13m2), though we have previously installed a system which was 2.4m wide and just fitted between the uprights. Extending in to the eaves by going around the truss members is possible up to a maximum area of 7.2m x 6.0m (43.2m2).
Kidston 4 bed

A stylish four-bedroom home with spacious open-plan family room/kitchen and utility room, the Kidston also has reasonable storage and an en-suite master bedroom.
The Kidston can accommodate a floored area of 7.2m x 1.8m (13m2), though we have previously installed a system which was 2.4m wide and just fitted between the uprights. Extending in to the eaves by going around the truss members is possible up to a maximum area of 7.2m x 6.0m (43.2m2).
Lismore 4-bed

An impressive detached, four-bedroom home, the Lismore has a large lounge and open-plan dining room which is ideal for entertaining, as the double French doors open to the rear garden.
The Lismore can accommodate a floored area of 7.2m x 1.8m (13m2), though we have previously installed a system which was 2.4m wide and just fitted between the uprights. Extending in to the eaves by going around the truss members is possible up to a maximum area of 7.2m x 6.0m (43.2m2).
You can see an example of the Lismore available for sale at Walker Homes’ The Braes development in Falkirk.
